NewAir Portable Air Conditioner Review

As an Amazon Associate/Influencer, I earn from qualifying purchases.

When we bought our house we were thrilled when the previous owners told us they had recently installed a new air conditioner. We had always lived in rentals prior to buying our house so we were excited about the chance to have whole house air conditioning.
NewAir Portable Air Conditioner

NewAir 12000e Portable Air Conditioner received.

The only problem was the owner’s skimped on the unit they bought and it was far too small to cool the entire house.

While I’d love to say we replaced it in the 10 years we’ve been here, we haven’t. It’s expensive to purchase and install air conditioning systems so we’ve made due with what we have. The unit does a good job of cooling our first floor but the second floor is another story. That’s why I was excited about the NewAir 12000e Portable Air Conditioner.

It gets it’s name because it is built with 12,000 BTU’s and it covers up to 425 square feet. This is perfect for the upstairs bedroom and I’m excited that the kids will be much cooler this summer. This will make it much easier for them to sleep which will lead to happier, fun-filled summer days.

Our house is a bungalow and our upstairs is made up of large and oddly shaped rooms. One of them is Kora & Logan’s bedroom. It’s a big room with only one vent. Our poor little wrong model whole house air conditioner really does nothing for the room. I always feel bad in the summer when the heat rises to the second floor and that bedroom is boiling.

Thanks to the NewAir Portable Air Conditioner Kora & Logan will be comfortable during hot summer nights.

NewAir Portable Air ConditionerSome of it’s impressive features include:

  • It’s compact and doesn’t take up a lot of room
  • It has a sleek and trendy design
  • Vent flaps open, close, and move up and down to point direction of air
  • It has an active carbon filter
  • It’s environmentally friendly
  • It uses low energy
  • The auto-evaporating technology improves it’s cooling efficiency
  • It has a 24 hour programmable timer and sleep mode
  • It has a remote control for simple temperature & fan speed adjustment

Here’s a video I made showing some of my favorite features:

We’ve been very happy with the Newair 12000e Portable Air Conditioner and recommend it to anyone looking to cool off areas of their home or office. It’s a wonderful way to cool a room or area when a window air conditioner is not an option or doesn’t get the job done. We will be depending on this air conditioner often this summer. Since our winter was so cold and is is hanging on into spring (it snowed here just the other day!), I’m certain this summer will be a scorcher.

Its hard to believe that we’ll need air conditioning soon with as cold as its been, but I know it will get HOT in the house. Need to check into this.

How cool! This would be perfect for us.. we have window air conditioners in each room, but they don’t always cool well when it’s really high temps. This would be nice in addition to the ones we have now.

OMG I want one! We have a window unit in one of our rooms we bought a new unit a few years ago and it is suppose to be b ig enough didn’t skimp but there is apparently something wrong with the duct work and the way the house is built they can’t fix it . So that room got a window unit.

This looks like a great summer solution. We also have one bedroom that always gets hotter than the rest of the house, so this would be just perfect in there!

I have never seen a product like this before. I like the 24 hour programmable timer and sleep mode because if I’m not in the room then I would want to have it off. This would work in a room we have that doesn’t get a lot of air from the vent.

I’ve never heard of this product but it seems like a good idea. We have had problems with our air conditioner for the past two summers. Last summer we spent $2400 on repairs and now it’s not working again – a different problem. We are probably going to end up having to buy a new unit this week and it’s an expense I’m not looking forward to.

Low energy is so important. Sometimes those portable air conditioners sometimes can really jack up your electric bill. We so need one of these for our middle floor.

I LOVE this – we live in Florida and in the middle of the Summer (July-Sept) our a/c is working OVERTIME – I’d love to have this in one of our back rooms

What a nice product to get to review! I’m sure your children will be very appreciative this summer. I’m curious to see how well it cools during those hot summer nights because we are thinking of putting in a smaller window unit to use in our bedroom at night instead of running our central unit because its very expensive to run. This portable unit could be another option for us to consider. Thanks so much for the review.

Looks like a fantastic and flexible option rather than a window version.

Hey there! I’m Tesa, the mom behind 2 Wired 2 Tired. The blog originally got its name because my husband, Dave, and I had two kids born a year apart. Back then, we always joked that “the kids were too wired and we were too tired.”

Fast forward to today—those two kids are navigating college life (how did that happen so fast?!), and our house is a little quieter. But the story didn't stop there. Now that I'm a 50+ mom and an empty nester-in-training, the definition of 2 Wired 2 Tired has evolved.

Today I'm wired for new adventures, Disney magic, smart technology, and unforgettable travel experiences and I’m completely tired of bad gadgets, boring trips!

Whether you're a midlife mom looking for the ultimate 50+ Disney World guide, planning a relaxing Michigan Lake Life getaway, organizing a college dorm packing list, or just looking for a killer recipe to enjoy with a great book, you're in the right place.

The chaotic toddler years might be behind us, but the fun (and the coffee) is always brewing around here. Let's tackle this next exciting chapter together!
