Dyson Bladeless Cool Fan Review

Living in Cleveland we are in the land of extremes. Our winters are snowy and cold (and apparently now include polar vortexes!) and our summers are sunny and often sizzling and hot.

We have central air in our house but we also struggle with the same problem many people do – an upper floor that just doesn’t cool off the way the rest of the house does. In the past we’ve run fans to help but they always seem to be lackluster and don’t make a big difference. That’s why I was excited about the Dyson Bladeless Cool Fan.

I’ve been intrigued with the Dyson Bladeless fans since they first came out. We have a Dyson vacuum cleaner that we adore so I was interested to see how the company reinvented the fan. I have always been amazed that these fans were bladeless. As a parent, I thought this was brilliant. When Kora & Logan were little I often worried about using the old fashioned kind of house fan. As often as I told them not to touch it, you know kids. Luckily nothing ever happened but now it’s nice that there are fans that take away that concern all together.

Dyson Bladeless FanThe new Dyson Cool Fan AM06 has a number of fantastic features:

  • 75% quieter
  • Powerful Air Multiplier Technology
  • 10 airflow settings
  • Remote control
  • Sleep timer – up to 9 hours
  • Oscillation
  • Touch-tilt
  • Safe
  • Easy to clean
  • Modern, sleek, design

We love this fan. It’s very powerful and we can feel the air throughout the room. The design is eye-catching and a conversation starter. It even tilts up & down.

Dyson Bladeless Fan - TiltAs a busy mom not only do I love that it is bladeless but I also like that this means it’s easy to clean. The old fashioned box fans that we used to use were nearly impossible to get clean and I always worried about the cleanliness of the air they were blowing around the room. No worries about that with the Dyson Cool Fan. It has 10 levels offering comfort no matter what the outdoor thermometer reads.

Dyson Bladelss Fan Review 10 LevelsI was interested to learn that the Noise Abatement Society has awarded the Quiet Mark to the Dyson Air Multiplier Technology. This technology allows the fan to be bladeless and it creates a stream of uninterrupted air flow. It draws in air and amplifies it 15 times which is wonderful for cooling everyone off during those hot summer heatwaves.

Dyson Bladeless Fan Air MultiplierIt also has a sleep timer that can be set for up to 9 hours. It’s very easy to set and a handy feature to have.

Dyson Bladeless Fan Sleep TimerI made a video so you can see how it look, how it works, how easy it is to clean, and how quiet it is.

We have been very impressed by the Dyson Bladeless Cool Fan AM06 and recommend it to anyone shopping for a new fan for their home or office. It’s a wonderful and powerful bladeless fan that I can’t wait to put to work this summer. I see many comfortable cool days ahead!

I am surprised on how well it works. I buy fans for the noise, lol – can not sleep without it. The best part about this to me is no dusty, dirty blades!

Hubby has to have a fan running at night. He loves the air circulation and I hate the noise but tolerate it. The three best features to me are: quieter, safe and easy to clean. Would love to have one of these fans.

I think a fan without blades is amazing. Bladed fans are such a hazard.

Wow that’s surprisingly quiet! I wish we had one of these when my boys were little I was always so worried of them putting their little fingers in the fan.

Hey there! I’m Tesa, the mom behind 2 Wired 2 Tired. The blog originally got its name because my husband, Dave, and I had two kids born a year apart. Back then, we always joked that “the kids were too wired and we were too tired.”

Fast forward to today—those two kids are navigating college life (how did that happen so fast?!), and our house is a little quieter. But the story didn't stop there. Now that I'm a 50+ mom and an empty nester-in-training, the definition of 2 Wired 2 Tired has evolved.

Today I'm wired for new adventures, Disney magic, smart technology, and unforgettable travel experiences and I’m completely tired of bad gadgets, boring trips!

Whether you're a midlife mom looking for the ultimate 50+ Disney World guide, planning a relaxing Michigan Lake Life getaway, organizing a college dorm packing list, or just looking for a killer recipe to enjoy with a great book, you're in the right place.

The chaotic toddler years might be behind us, but the fun (and the coffee) is always brewing around here. Let's tackle this next exciting chapter together!
