Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring Review

We are a family that loves to travel. We go on a road trip at least every 2-3 months. Most frequently we travel up to Michigan to visit my side of the family but other times we will head over to Put-in-Bay or down to Hocking Hills. We’ve even driven to Disney World and to Seabrook Island in South Carolina. Since we like to road trip so much we like to drive vehicles that will keep us all comfortable over the long haul That’s why I was excited to be offered the chance to test drive for a week the Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring.

Mazda CX-5We found the CX-5 to be a nice vehicle that is easy to handle and a nice size. It handles nicely and is easy to use to get around town. It would be a wonderful smooth ride on a long road trip.

Mazda CX-5 BackWe really like its spaciousness. There’s plenty of room for the driver, passenger, and those in the back seat.

Mazda CX-5 Front SeatIt’s nice that there was enough distance between the front and back seats that the kids weren’t kicking the driver or passenger seat either intentionally or unintentionally. They also had plenty of room between them so they weren’t on top of each other which was wonderful.

Mazda CX-5 BackseatWe like that it also has lots of storage, a large trunk, and a split folding 2nd row. This is great for road trips or getting around town where you may need the extra space for a grocery trip to a warehouse club or a stop at a home improvement store.

Mazda CX-5 Trunk

Mazda CX-5 Split SeatWe also appreciated the dual climate controls and heated/cooling seats. Often Dave is much hotter than me and he always wants to turn the heat off when I’m freezing, or he wants the air on when I’m cold. Now we both can be just as comfortable by adjusting our own temps and whether we want the seats warm or cool.

Mazda CX-5 Climate ControlIt’s always nice to have so many controls easily accessible on the steering wheel.

Mazda CX-5 Steering WheelI also like the navigational system too. It’s easy to use and would be great for road trips.

Mazda CX-5 GPSWe really enjoyed our time with the Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring and will be sad to see it go. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a new vehicle for road trips or for daily family use.
