How To Keep Your Dog Warm This Winter

As an Amazon Associate/Influencer, I earn from qualifying purchases.

Have you ever met a dog that was a freeze baby? Yoshi is. And a big one at that! I don’t blame her, I hate being cold too. On cold days her favorite thing to do is snuggle in bed all day.

Yoshi Ball

A Kurgo coat was received.

She also loves it when we turn our electric fireplace on. As soon as she hears the click that means it’s starting, she runs over and lays underneath it.

Yoshi Snoozing

As much as she enjoys being warm, she loves walks. So she always seems to face a big quandry in the fall and winter when the temperatures here in Michigan drop significantly. She wants to go for a walk but then is always hesitant when it’s chilly out.

That’s why I was excited when Kurgo sent us a dog coat.

Kurgo Loft JacketWhen the Kurgo Loft Jacket arrived, I was immediately impressed with how stylish the jacket is and how cozy it looks! I love the bright colors and that you can reverse it:

Kurgo Dog CoatWhile I picked out the Blue/Orange colors for Yoshi’s coat they have a nice selection of other colors too:

  • Green/Charcoal
  • Chili Red/Dark Charcoal
  • Ink Blue/Sea Glass
  • Deep Violet/Light Charcoal

I was impressed to learn that the Kurgo Loft Jacket is made of rugged Microtomic Ripstop material and has 140 mg of Polytech fill.

Kurgo Dog JacketIt’s a lightweight jacket that provides lots of warmth. It also has reflective piping for visibility.

Kurgo Loft Dog JacketThe waterproof shell has a zipper opening so you can easily attach your dog’s harness or leash.

Kurgo Loft Jacket ZipperI also like that it’s machine washable. We all know how muddy dogs can get and being able to wash this easily is important to me.

Kurgo Loft Jacket BlueAs you can see, Yoshi loves her Kurgo dog coat and it’s doing a great job of keeping her warm this fall and know it will keep her warm this winter as well. We recommend it to anyone looking to keep their pup warm this winter and at only $30, it’s an affordable option that will enable your dog to get more exercise even in cooler weather.

They do look better than was you see in the stores. Those are usually ridiculous. Thanks.

How nice! I’m going to have to check these out for the granddogs :) I love that you can get them in a variety of colors.

Hey there! I’m Tesa, the mom behind 2 Wired 2 Tired. The blog originally got its name because my husband, Dave, and I had two kids born a year apart. Back then, we always joked that “the kids were too wired and we were too tired.”

Fast forward to today—those two kids are navigating college life (how did that happen so fast?!), and our house is a little quieter. But the story didn't stop there. Now that I'm a 50+ mom and an empty nester-in-training, the definition of 2 Wired 2 Tired has evolved.

Today I'm wired for new adventures, Disney magic, smart technology, and unforgettable travel experiences and I’m completely tired of bad gadgets, boring trips!

Whether you're a midlife mom looking for the ultimate 50+ Disney World guide, planning a relaxing Michigan Lake Life getaway, organizing a college dorm packing list, or just looking for a killer recipe to enjoy with a great book, you're in the right place.

The chaotic toddler years might be behind us, but the fun (and the coffee) is always brewing around here. Let's tackle this next exciting chapter together!
