New Incredimail App For The iPad Review

I remember when I was just out of college working my first office jobs using Incredimail to manage my email. My day would drag along in the slow moving dull grey office. Then suddenly I’d be greeted by a cute little bark from a bright and colorful cartoon puppy in the corner of my computer screen letting me know I had a new email.

Incredimail App

iPad received.

I always looked forward to that puppy’s bark and sometimes I switched him up with other characters but always came back to him. He brightened my day in such a simple way that I’ve always thought of Incredimail fondly in the years since.

That’s why I was excited about the the Incredimail app for the iPad. It’s much more more than a little cartoon puppy and I’m very excited about it. It is the first email app adapted for touchscreen in a magazine layout and it’s amazing!

I love how easy it is to quickly view and scroll through your emails. Everything is so crisp, clear, and simple to read. Honestly it makes the list format of email seem a bit archaic now and I don’t know how I’ll go back to it.

I was so impressed by this visually friendly layout that I made a video to show you exactly how it works.

There are many fantastic features that you can see in the video above but I also wanted to point out a few of my other favorites. Being able to see your email through the Quick Peeks magazine layout format is great because you can preview an email without actually having to open it which is perfect for those really busy days. Deleting emails is a breeze. You can hit the Reply, Forward, Star, and Trash buttons all from inside the Quick Peeks screen or you can do the same once you’ve opened the email.

Incredimail App InboxThe Link Previews feature is nice too because it allows you to view all links including photos, videos, articles, as a preview rather than having to open them up right away. This way you can stay in your inbox on top of your email rather than jumping back and forth which I find really helps keep me focused.

Incredimail kept this idea in mind when designing the app because you can use the built in web browser to search the web from right inside your email inbox.

Incredimail App Web BrowserOne of my favorite features is the option to attach as many photos as you like when sending an email. How many times have you tried to send an email and it just sits in your drafts trying to send delayed by too many attachments? This will make life easier when sharing photos of Kora & Logan with their grandparents.

Incredimail App AttachmentThe Facebook Faces feature puts pictures of faces next to your the names in your email giving email a more personal feel. It pulls the picture from Facebook or your Contacts profile images. The photo inbox is such a fun idea too. It’s makes a unique inbox of photos from your friends’ Facebook photos. At the time of this review I had a bit of trouble getting it to connect to my Facebook account but since it’s a brand new app just released today, I know it will be remedied so

There is also a fun email stationary collection to choose from adding some fun and finesse to your emails.

Incredimail App Stationary

Incredimail StationaryThe Incredimail app for the iPad is free in the iTunes store and offers full IMAP support meaning you can use it with your Gmail, Yahoo!, AOL, and any other IMAP account. I recommend it to anyone who was a long time Incredimail fan, to iPad users, and to those looking for an easy to manage email solution. It’s got many wonderful features that truly make using email fun again.

Just downloaded the app. I have officially only had Incredimail on my Ipad now for approx. 30-35 min and I already enjoy it much, much more than Google’s Gmail app I had been using. Being able to quickly scroll through emails from both Yahoo and gmail in one conjoined inbox is great. And the fact that it’s free is icing on the steak . . er, cake.
