I remember when I first fell in love with audiobooks. I started working at a new office that was about a 35 minute drive each way. After a couple of weeks, the radio became a little boring, so my father in law recommended an audiobook.

Audible Books

After giving it a try and a couple of commutes, I was hooked. Back then, I picked up the audiobooks from the library. Now, thanks to technology, I can have them anywhere I want on my phone, tablet or laptop. I love all the variety available on Audible, plus, you can get a FREE Audible Book – Learn how below.

Audible is backed by the power of Amazon, so that means you have access to pretty much any audiobook in existence! With Audible, you are able to listen to amazing books narrated by some fantastic actors and actresses.

The Audible community is growing, and they are offering a great way to share your favorite titles with your friends and family – for free!

Instant Book Share is a new feature that allows you to recommend your favorite titles. You can share your favorite title over text, email, Facebook Messenger and Whatsapp, so there really is no excuse to not share your favorite audiobook.

Insant Book Share allows listeners to give any book in their “My Library” to others instantly, and each recipient gets their first title for free with this program.

My personal recommendation is an oldie, but a goodie. I remember nearly 20 years ago reading Game of Thrones. It was an incredible book, now that the TV series is so popular I have thought to myself for the last couple of years that I am going to re-read the series. Kids and a lack of free time have kept me from doing that, so I decided to get set up with Audible. I am about half way thru this 30+ hour audiobook and I love it. Now with Instant Book Share, I can pass this along to my fellow GOT’ers on Facebook!

You can join Audible and get the Game of Thrones audiobook for free too! All you have to do is sign up for a FREE 30 day trial and you will get credit for one free book, I suggest you try Game of Thrones, but you can use it on any book of your choice.

Getting re-introduced to audiobooks last year was great, I listen to them while driving, working out, taking the dog for a walk, and even when I am doing some work around the house. Listening to the awesome narrators really makes the time fly.

Also, the way Audible works is easy and impressive. Simply sign up for the 30 day trial. You get your one free credit to use on any book of your choice, and then you pay a small monthly fee and get a free credit for any one book every month. If you buy additional books, as a member you get 30% off any additional purchase, with thousands of books available at under $10.

Once you download a book, it is in your audio library forever, even if you cancel or put your Audible account on hold, once you buy it, it’s yours, even the free one received in your trial period.

This post is sponsored by Audible, and I am thrilled to be working with them. Audiobooks make certain parts of your day go by so much faster and make them much more enjoyable. Try it out for yourself and then you can share the Instant Book Share feature with your friends and family, they will thank you for it.

Happy Listening!

Hey there! I’m Tesa, the mom behind 2 Wired 2 Tired. The blog got its name because we have two kids born a year apart and my husband, Dave, and I always joked that "the kids were too wired and we were too tired!" :)

Fast forward a bit—now the kids are off to college (how did that happened so fast!) and since 2009, I’ve been blogging through the chaos, coffee in hand, finding the best in family, travel, and tech—because honestly, who has time for bad gadgets and boring trips?

So, whether you're searching for family travel inspiration, tech gadgets, or tips to enhance family life, you're in the right place because the fun (and the coffee) is always brewing around here!
