A Better Smart Home? See Best Buy For What’s Next

How smart is your home? If I had to guess, I would say our home would be in the 6^th grade!  We have incorporated many Smart Home concepts, but there are many more to go. I was totally amazed at everything available to make your home even smarter. So, I went into my local Best Buy and had a look around. I found the Vivint Smart Home display and was amazed as I spoke to the Best Buy representative. You get to walk through an entire demonstration of how Vivint & Best Buy can change how you operate in your home.

I was shocked at everything that was available in such a small location. The demonstration starts outside of a door. Think of an 6-foot-wide wall with a front door on it. Your Best Buy representative shows you all the fun gadgets, both where they are and how they work. First you learn about the Vivint Doorbell Camera.

With this doorbell camera, you are able to see and talk to whomever is at your front door. You can do this from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. This could be great for a vacation home too!

On the outside of the door there is also a keypad which can be controlled by typing in a passcode, using your phone or tablet, and even simply by asking Alexa to do it.

The hub of the Vivint Best Buy experience is Skycontrol Panel. From here you are able to control every aspect of your Smart Home, it is like a mini-tablet right on your wall, Vivint will install this professionally for you.

When you get to the interior of your smart home, you can connect your Nest smart thermostat to your Vivint Skycontrol, or Vivint even has their own smart thermostat which works perfect as well.

Vivint also has a variety of cameras that can help secure and keep your home secure. There are indoor and outdoor cameras available, and all of them can be controlled and viewed from a computer or your mobile device.

My favorite feature about the Vivint Ping Indoor Camera is that it can also act as an intercom within the house. It is a wireless way to communicate with someone who is on the other side of your home, or even if you are at work, you can talk to whomever is at home!

There are tons of reasons why you would want to make your home a Smart Home. There are so many ways it can simplify your life and make it safer as well.
